Peace Prayer :

An Art-ful Expression

music and artThis year's program will be built around art-ful expressions of prayer as practiced by a variety of faith traditions. It will include prayer expressions such as music, dance, song and visual arts that help us to transcend our differences and pray as one for world peace.

Spiritual Life CenterSpiritual Life Center's Pamela Morrison-Wolf to Speak at this Year's Breakfast

We are thrilled to welcome Pamela Morrison-Wolf, President of the Board of Directors of the Spiritual Life Center in West Hartford, as our keynote speaker this year. Pamela will lead us in exploring what it means when we say "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me." In her work at the Spiritual Life Center, Morrison-Wolf serves those of many faiths, guiding them to discern the Spirit that connects us all. Pamela brings rich and diverse experience to her work. She holds a Bachelors degree from Rosement College and a Masters degree in Counseling from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. After an early career teaching and working at N.A.S.A., she moved to Connecticut and began a career in Counseling for the State of CT, working in the areas of Human Resources, Mental Health and the Secretary of State's Office.

Pamela is a certified Master Gardener, a certified Spiritual Director and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Patrick-St. Anthony's in Hartford. She is sure to inspire and challenge us!

Since 1998 the Hartford Prayer Breakfast has reached across religious boundaries to find and celebrate those beliefs we share, to pray for the city of Hartford, and to affirm and support caring volunteers and staff involved in life-enriching services. Hundreds of people attend.

The breakfast is an annual opportunity to acknowledge together that our diverse communities need the prayerful support of all of our religious faiths if we are to realize a healthy urban center. It is, then, a gathering of people of faith. The focus is on what brings us together, not no what divides us.

If you have comments, suggestions, questions, prayers, interfaith initiatives or volunteer opportunities, please simply reply to this e-letter. We look forward to hearing from you!
